The battle between both coffee and tea goes on. Both these beverages have equal importance to the people across the world. They both have unique flavours, ingredients and the overall aroma is different. The word chai is an emotion for a few, so does the emotion lies towards the coffee.

Tea vs Coffee

There are different benefits of these two beverages. One cup of brewed coffee contains between 70-140 mg of caffeine whereas the same amount of  tea contains somewhere around 41-81mg. The origin of coffee is from Ethiopia and that of  tea is from ancient China. Coffee beans were transported to the Dutch, to the East Indies and then to the Americans.  Tea started becoming famous in the early 16th century when Portuguese started travelling the world.

Both tea and coffee offer various health benefits, thanks to the presence of antioxidants and other bioactive compounds.

Antioxidant Properties

Tea, particularly green tea, is known for its high antioxidant content. These antioxidants help fight against free radicals in the body. It reduces the risk of a lot of diseases and improves overall health.
